  • Caravan electrical WOF is required every 4 years and must be completed by a qualified Electrical Inspectors. ​

  • Any new building, renovation or addition that involves wiring requires and electrical inspection. ​​

  • This includes outbuildings with power and power supplies for builders.

APPLIANCE TEST

Aotea Electric Te Puke Ltd offer Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)​ which can be onsite or at our workshop, at your request we will set up a reminder so you don't have to.
 

Our system is fully auditable so every test has a verifiable result. Each tag is uniquely coded for identification.​
 

We care that your electrical equipment is not only compliant to AS/NZS 3760:2010 but is in fact safe.

Warrants of Electrical Fitness are required every 4 years by law for caravans and motorhomes with 230v connections. ​
 

This is proof of electrical safety that caravan parks require before they allow plug in to their electrical services.​
 

James Winters is our registered electrical inspector offering this service in Te Puke. ​ Only registered electrical inspectors can give a WOEF. ​  Unlike most other inspectors, we can also undertake repairs on-site. This will save you extra call-out costs.  ​

trust power metering

Aotea Electric Te Puke Ltd employs an authorised Metering Contractor able to install new Trust Power meters.  ​This includes all upgrades, new builds and alterations as well as separating meters for multiple consumers. ​
 

We are also able to complete load testing for Trust Power verification. ​
 

We are Category 1 meter installers which is whole current metering, up to 100amp with 160amp meters available upon request.

When you compare them to other energy-saving lighting methods you will find that LED lighting is by far the most energy-efficient and smart solution. LED is also the most eco-friendly way of illumination basically digital light also known as SSL – Solid State lighting.​​
 

Production of LED lighting is increasing rapidly. This means that pricing for LED is quickly coming down and now is an excellent solution for commercial and domestic users.  Whilst they do still cost more than incandescent lamps, over their life the energy savings make up for that many times over.
 

To get the best result of LED lighting we recommend replacing the old light fitting with new LED integrated lighting. This will give best use of increased lighting efficiency and longevity of light fitting.  You will also benefit from the better insulation characteristics of new LED down lights as opposed to older style recessed down lights which have an air gap from room to ceiling space designed for heat dissipation.
